My name is Carolann Harnett and I create small batch, richly decorated ceramic ware in my home studio in Lorn NSW.

Having completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts at Newcastle University and a Diploma of Education. I have spent the last 30+ years creating with the incredible medium clay. My designs include a unique selection of kitchen and table wares, and ‘One-Off’ pieces created using a mix of hand building, slip casting and wheel thrown techniques.

My approach to working with clay is relaxed and playful and every piece is treated with an excitement and love of clay and decoration. Sgraffito designs are freely etched into the clay making the pieces pleasingly tactile. Wares are then finished with a simple lead-free glaze and occasionally 22K gold lustre.

All my pieces are either ‘one’ or just a ‘few of a kind’ and for now my process is ‘small batch’ and very unique. I strive to make each item a little piece of art for your home, to use, admire and cherish.
